How do I access activities at the Brae?

Is there a cost for the activities?

Each activity we offer is charged, please see 2023 price list (Click Here) for individual session prices

Is there a waiting list?

Every activity has its own waiting list. If an activity is unavailable we will endeavour to find an alternative (and suitable) activity asap.

How can I volunteer at the Centre?

Volunteering is open to people aged 14 years and over. Download a volunteer application form (Click here)and our volunteer coordinator will be in touch to have a chat.

I need some help and support to mount/dismount, will that be possible?

Yes, as part of our coach’s training we are familiar with different mounting and dismounting procedures dependent on your requirements. We also have a hydraulic platform and hoist in the indoor arena as well as a hoist for the mechanical/simulator, Blackberry.

Do you cater for school groups?

Yes, many of our weekly morning riding sessions are for schools

What is your riding weight limit?

Our real live horses is 12 stone 6lbs and Blackberry is 16 stone

Are there any alternatives to riding that I can consider?

Yes, we offer a variety of activities for participants. Please contact us for more information

I would like to try riding on the simulator before a live horse will that be possible?

Yes, add a note to your application form to state your preference and we can arrange an initial assessment on Blackberry.

How do I pay for sessions?

Preferably at the beginning of the block alternatively weekly as you go.
