Whilst our horses were blissfully munching in the field all week, enjoying their well earned holiday, a huge amount of other work has been going on.
Thank you to all the volunteers who gave up their time to do lots of yard work, getting the place cleaned and organised for the new block of lessons starting next week, including the directors who normally work away in the background.

Dave has been at the centre for 4 days overseeing -
60 tons of sand delivered by 2 artic lorries
30 tons of fibres on another artic, all of which had fun turning in the car park
JCB, 5 tonne dumper moved the sand into the arena
Specialists team from down south, Combi-Ride, graded the sand and put in the fibres
2 bags of fibres from previous top up put in outside arena
Quad picked up, serviced and returned
Sound system new amp fitted
Roofing contractor fixed the leak in the hayshed roof
Large section of fence in the field was renewed
New light in the hayshed and carpark lights fixed
Old leveller returned down south
Defibrillator fixed to wall behind viewing gallery

Ian spent most of the day Thursday and some of Tuesday on IT problems
Janet, Alison M and Norma were at the RDA training on Wednesday
Alison D and Lesley worked on the new pension provision for staff and reports for the AGM.

We thought we would explain some of essential maintenance that was carried out this week, again, big thanks to all those involved. A lot of this work isn't obvious when you look around so here are some photos to give you a look at some of the processes.

Thank you to Claire Milican from RDA National who traveled to Dundee yesterday to deliver two training sessions -
'Participant Experience' and 'Safeguarding'. These important courses were well attended by Brae coaches, volunteers and staff as well as coaches from other groups in the region, including Angus RDA.
Big thanks to ASDA Milton Dundee and Yvanne Mclaren for allowing us to use the training room, giving us plenty space in a cozy environment to hold these sessions.
You will also see from the photos that we had an extra special guest with us. Flynn, the Trainee Guide Dogs Scotland Puppy who is currently living with one of our volunteers as part of his learning. This super cute, well behaved little chap is the first ever dog to attend a Brae training session!
Thank you to all who came along.
