The Brae Charity Shop will be open from 19th September to 1st October in Gray Street Broughty Ferry. We are looking for volunteers who can help in the shop over these 2 weeks. If you can spare a couple of hours we would be delighted to hear from you. The shop raised a massive £3000 for The Brae last year and we are hoping that we can raise this again this year, but we need your help to make it as successful. ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you very much to Jane who volunteered with us yesterday through Marks and Spencer. Was great to have you with us to help out.
"Just had a great day volunteering at the Brae Riding for Disabled. Marks and Spencer give all staff one day's paid leave to work at a local Charity so I chose this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it, what a wonderful place the Brae is!"

Photo shows a lovely sunny outdoor lesson with Jane (L), Becky (R) and Alison on Misty.
Big thanks also to Reg, Jane's husband for the picture.

Congratulations to Brae volunteers Ed and Helen Young on their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
They asked friends and family for donations instead of gifts and raised the fantastic sum of £520 for The Brae! Thank you so much for all you do for us and also a huge thanks to everyone who contributed to the total.
Photos of a wonderful couple taken 50 years apart.
We all hope you enjoy the rest of your celebrations!

We are absolutely delighted to let everyone know that Mickey has won the Riding for the Disabled National Award for Horse of the Year.

Mickey is a superstar who not only gives lots of our children and adults the benefits of horseriding lessons, but he is also our carriage driving pony. As If that weren't enough, Mickey was recently trained to provide vaulting lessons (this is basic gymnastics on horseback), and this has proved to be a huge success.

Thank you so much to Claire (Brae volunteer) for nominating Mickey for this special and much deserved award. Mickey enjoyed his win today with a celebratory buffet lunch of some lovely juicy carrots and apples (and a couple of sneaky polos!!!). WELL DONE MICKEY xx Claire Sutherland
